I began piano at 5, violin at 10. I was fortunate to be able to study classical violin with the renowned instructor Mary West in Minneapolis for several years as a child.
Since then I've has studied, taught and performed in a wide variety of styles and instrumentations. I give a limited number of private lessons on violin, piano, and guitar.
My first hands-on exposure to Middle-Eastern music was when an Iranian professor of mine introduced me to the Iranian Sitar, next, mixing sound for Persian Ney (an amazing flute-like instrument) player Hossien Omoumi...
